Well, wanting to be a good example and not flake off from work due to "snow conditions" I XC-d from Bryant to work on Eastlake. About on hour. Quality snow! The bird sanctuary behind the IMA building was particularly nice. A little hill action up and over Roanoke street. I am sure everyone who can is going out and getting some. There are some perfectly groomed gentle downhills. Probably yesterday, charting a course through Ravenna Park ravine in the fading afternoon light was my favorite run yet.

Good on you and cheers to the street skies out there, I just got back from a down hill run off of 18th street in Sammamish with Shurman (Golden R). 6-7 " 0f fluff with a hard pack base of tire flatten snow, some wind loading by the fire hydren, shurman kept "eye's on" and we skirted by in fine fashion, the lower road looked to be total untracked and powder turns were had, at the botom I skined the skies and flicked into climb mode. Best turns out the door on the Eastside this year. I will hit the road early in the AM and be at Crystal before the red jackets ever wake.

I skied two hours from West Seattle to first hill Monday. Only had to remove skis once and walk accross a bit of almost bare pavement a couple times. A lot more pavement on the way back and the old leather boots took a nickel size piece of skin off my heal in spite of moleskin >
