Happy Solstice to everyone.

410 is closed at Buckley and I-90 at North Bend. Where to ski on a day like this when a person can't get to the lifts or their normal avy-day tree stashes?

The crews at MRNP can't seem to get the road open at a decent time with just a little snow fall, so they'll not open at al today – most likely, not that it would be safe to ski there with any conditions bumping into high above 4 grand.

Ideas anyone? Perhaps a group list. I guess I'll make a rock board and go ride Henderson Hill before the traffic get too strong. On the other hand, anyone ever ski the old growth slope at Staircase in the Olympics.

Long night tonight.

Peace

Sunday, Dec. 21, 4 a.m. update

OLYMPIA – WSDOT closed I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass and SR 14 through the Columbia River Gorge due to high winds, snow drifts and zero visibility.

That is off of the WSDOT website.

Stevens and White Pass are open.

Did you mix up SR 14 with SR 410?
