Alpental Season 08_09

Since the discussion is on, did everyone see this in the NWAC forecast:

A special note regarding Alpental. Alpental ski area is
still closed and provides tempting access to back country
snow conditions. The high avalanche danger should also
develop by Sunday in the upper part of the ski area. It
seems to me that this situation is prime for an accident
in part due to early season enthusiasm and easy access.

Thanks Gib. Your posts are always valuable and appreciated. In fact, it seems like we're not really into the 'real ski season' until your annual announcement goes up. Its great to see.
