Check in the Mazama area. Wallowas in OR have gotten a lot of magazine play in the last year, though I know nothing first hand about them.

There are copious huts in BC.
Three at Rogers Pass, (Wheeler, Sapphire Col and Aluksan.) ( although Wheeler and Sapphire Col are more bivvy huts I think) Check Canadian Alpine Club.
In Northern BC, near Terrace there are two huts that can be rented but require helicopter acess into them( about $150). They are run by a co-operative and if interested in them I can give you a rescource to contact up there. Terrain is immense and snowfall prodigeous. It's 23 hrs of driving to Terrace( white knuckle with the logging trucks) or about $520 dollars round trip on Hawk Air.
Also at Elfin Lakes( TH is at Squamish) there is a great hut that is public that accesses the Gargoyles area and Little Diamond Head. Fantastic terrain.
Check past issues of Backcountry Magazine if you can get your hands on them or look them up on the web. They had a "hut issue" recently that had a great list of BC huts.
The Mount Tahoma huts are great but usually booked well in advance for most weekends and advanced skiers may find the terrain limited. The Snowbowl hut burnt down last year but there is High hut and a Yurt on one side and Copper Creek hut on the other ( things may have changed). I usually think of these more in terms of XC than BC skiing, but there is some good stuff and they do a great job.

Scottish Lakes has private cabins & some more challenging terrain:

Mt Tahoma Ski Trails are inexpensive, but have little non-XC terrain, especially in a low snow year. The High Hut has the best possibilities and the south district access road has been rerouted/reopened this year:

Olympic National Park used to have a small (4-person?) hut called 'Waterhole' four miles east of Hurricane Ridge that was available weekends by lottery. Limited terrain nearby, but might be useful to start a traverse.
