Thank God for pain, and MRIs . . .
Turns out, I won't be skiing or walking for that matter for quite awhile.  Three x-rays didn't reveal the talar fracture that split it in two. But the lingering pain and unsatisfied doc--who skis 3-4 days a week BTW--got me an MRI and I'm all immobilized for a solid five weeks.
While I can't say I'm too excited about the damage done, (Docs sure were though--guess it's not a common fracture hence the missed diagnosis.) I am thoroughly relieved it wasn't worse and praying that it didn't move since Friday . . . a condition requiring surgery and ironic--pins.

Glad to see it's finally snowing out there! . . . now go get out there and drop a knee for me. 

Yes! A diagnosise!
Now it will heal if you stay off it!
And I will ski a run for you every day I am out!

I missed 4 yrs of skiing. This is my first full season with first turns 10 days ago!
