Snoq Gear swap - Red Hook

Just dropped in by the Red Hook on my bike ride home and bought a set of skis for my brother.  Hoping they are suitable hence any beta would be useful.

K2 Mt Baker 181 with Diamir T3 XL bindings.  Immaculate condition and ex rental from Pro-ski. The skis could be 2008 by the graphics.

I think these bindings are not as beefy as the later models so any feedback appreciated.  My brother is 6'5" and 210lbs and can charge the slopes hard.  However he only skis a few weeks a year since he's in Ireland so holds back a bit these days.

Bit of an impulse buy for me here for his Christmas pressie (I'll get an equally good something in return!)

Does anyone know if it is possible to beef up the Fritschi T3 bindings to a higher DIN setting such as switching out the springs? Is it possible to increase them up to a 12 such as the Freerides have? Currently they are a 10 max.

No idea on how you'd be able to beef up the binding, but the ski sounds great for someone your brother's size. Might be a tad shorter than he'd like, but they'll definitely do the job.

Great set up for the big guy. I have the same bindings on some red Launchers 188 and i loved them and I AM a BIG guy 270+, never came out when I didn't need to. I have down sised my ski this year to 181 Coombas with Dukes and I will burn the Launchers on Sat. to bring this season on. Come on Ullr, Thor and Odin are ready to party with you.
