Cool replies,  coming upon my 20th year of snowboarding and I'm ashamed to say I haven't ridden @ Baker!  In my defense I live in Leavenworth so heading up that way is somewhat impractical.

Looking through the current issue of Backcountry Mag,  there are a dozen or so resorts from each region of the continent.

Some notables:
Telluride $92.00 (!!)

Wolf Creek, CO $52.00
Grand Targhee, WY $38.00
Bridger Bowl, MT $46.00 (new lift!)
Lookout Pass, MT/ID $32.00
Montana Snowbowl $38.00
Powder Mtn, UT $56 ($12.00 snowcat rides)
Mission Ridge, WA $50.00
White Pass, WA $47.00
Silverton Mtn., CO $49.00

True and painful, but if you stay at anyone of a number of motels in Ouray you can get half off the tickets. I found a place for $35 a night that allowed two people to save $88. Add to that the ice climbing and access to Red Mountain Pass and it was a pretty sweet deal.

If you live in Leavenworth -- Mission Ridge is hard to beat. I like the variety of terrain and the uncrowded feel. Mission can't compare to Baker in terms of snowfall, but then few resorts in the world can beat Baker's snowfall. When I get over to Mission form the "wetside" I enjoy making the short hike past the microwave station to ski the north-facing bowls. e.g. "Bowl Four", etc.

One of the best values in lift skiing in the PNW is mid-week skiing at any of the areas -- if you can manage the time off -- you'll spend a lot more time skiing and a lot less time waiting in long weekend lift lines. I go bonkers paying for a Crystal ticket on weekends and ending up with less than 12,000 vert because the lines were 30+ minutes.

For the sake of accuracy, the Grand Targhee adult price is $69. Perhaps you were thinking of the ticket for 6-12 year olds or seniors (+65) which is $39? If I am mistaken please let me know so I can get the cheaper ticket as I will be there in early February.

Red mtn in canada was pretty dang awesome. i don't remember the cost, but as mentioned, there's a 20% discount cause of the currancy. Plus there's some really fun BC just off resort where you can hike a bit and get some very cool skiing IMHO.
