Broken Buckle-Repairable? was created by Snoqualmonix
Scrambling between snowfields this fall on Ptarm. Ridge I popped a buckle clean off. Does anyone know if shops are able to rivet a new buckle on through the old hole?

Thanks for any advise.

Sturtevants in Bellevue can do all sorts of boot repair....I snapped one of the rivets that held the upper cuff to the lower half of my boot shell and they put in a new rivet in just a few minutes.

I can't recommend a specific shop but I once busted a buckle off an alpine boot and the on-slope tech guys replaced it in no time flat.

Seems easy enough to do.

Pro Ski at 92nd and Aurora N did a buckle repair on some T2s for me last year, for what it's worth.

When I had a buckle come off my Garmont tele-boots, I received new parts through the warranty. The problem was that no one locally could put the rivet in because of the angle of the shell. A nut and washer from a hockey skate shop did the trick, though.
