Another vote for the Suunto Observer. I have the stainless model with the elastomer band and even with fairly small wrists, it will go much smaller. It also looks reasonable when worn as a daily watch, and functionally it's bomber.

another skinny Observer owner. Great watch. Another option is the older version of the Nike Ascent, which was even smaller than the Suunto. One major downside: battery was not user replaceable.

another idea (if you're comfortable with your manhood and assuming you're a guy) is going this route. Built for smaller wrists with great functions and you don't look like you could shoot lasers from you wrist like some of the other altimeter watches 
Plus you can get a lanyard for it under the accessories tab.
