NWAC fundraiser: "The Fine Line", Nov. 16, 3:00pm

Just this morning got permission to show a new avvie awareness and BC ski/ride film as a fundraising event for the North West Weather and Avalanche Center. The North Bend Theatre has graciously offered to host and Pro Ski Guide Service and the Sno Pass ski areas are kicking in to help as well.  This film began as a project following the death of four in a relatively small slide event in 1997. A decade later the Rocky Mountain Sherpa's from Western British Columbia have produced an educational film to inspire and to also give pause. I was lucky enough to view this last month at Whister ISSW and was blown away. The world’s best skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, and climbers join the world’s leading avalanche professionals to bring you a new movement in avalanche education.  Don't miss this one - sure to be a packed house.       Nov 16th 3:00pm - est $8 - $10 donation      Gib

Gib, can you provide address and directions (or map link) for this?

Here's a web address for the theatre site. I'm not sure exactly what's there because I'm blocked at work from entertainment sites.  Fortunately TAY qualifies as work related.  Directions are simple, I-90 EB or WB to exit 31, this is the main North Bend exit.  Head North into the heart of town where you will find it just beyond the central traffic light on the left.  I believe tickets will be sold by Pro Ski which is 1/2 (short) block east from that same intersection, on the north side of the street. Not the most precise directions, I know, but it is very easy to find.  I think the theatre holds about 275.
