2009 Washington Alpine Club Telemark/Randonee was created by Randito
Come join the oldest and largest telemark ski instruction program in the US.
Develop your skills so you can enjoy the backcountry even more.
The WAC Wednesday night Telemark and Randonee program has classes for skiers of all abilities -- So if you are just starting out or if you've skied for years, this program will help you have more fun on the snow.
Lessons are held on six Wednesday nights starting January 7th 2009.
Classes run from 7:30PM to 9:30PM.
Classes are being held at the Summit West area on Snoqualmie Pass. Carpooling from the Issaquah Transit center is supported and encouraged.
Instruction is provided by professional ski instructors.
Membership in the Washington Alpine Club (WAC) is required.
The WAC cabin at Snoqualmie Pass provides overnight accommodations and is great base for skiing and climbing in the area -- easy access to both lift served, backcountry and track skiing in the Snoqualmie Pass area.
Cost of the lessons is $130 -- unchanged from last season. Lift
tickets or a seasons pass are needed at additional cost. Discounted
season's passes may be purchased through the program.

Two addtions:
This year the WAC cabin will be open Wednesday nights. I'm thinking than at least a few times I'll stay over and ski at Alpental or do a backcountry tour on Thursday.
Two is that The Summit is again offering one free season's pass for every forty students enrolled. A drawing will be held to determine the lucky student. In past seasons when the student had already purchased a seasons pass The Summit refunded their purchase price.

Summit West and Summit Central opened yesterday. They currently have a 36 inch base with more snow on the way. Woo Hoo! There is still time to sign up for the WAC series -- registration closes on Dec 26th
