Hurrican Ridge Web Cam 11/04

Looks like a lot of snow( relatively ) at Hurricane Ridge.

Whats the NPs policy regarding access to HR this year? Is it closed mid week now and only open at weekends??

A recent press release concerning Hurricane Ridge winter schedule:

Their plan is to be open 9AM (good luck with that) till dusk, Fridays thru Sundays, and also holiday Mondays.  The PR emphasizes that ALL vehicles (including 4WD/AWD) will be required to carry chains.

Ultra-fit skiers used to commonly approach via bike from the Heart-O-Hills gate (2000') on weekdays. Not sure about the NPS attitude towards this... 

Thanks, I just called them and the HR road from Heart o the hills is closed today due to snow and they couldn't tell me if it would be open tomorrow . The weekend only ( and FRI)_schedule starts Nov 21.

Historically, HR opens very late or not at all when there's more than a few inches of new. Much like Paradise, only even slower.

According to telemetry Hurricane Ridge got over a foot of fresh in the last 24 hours far more then anywhere else.
