Please Remember when at Bachelor to sleep "inside" your rig...Last year there was a poor soul who got ground up by the snow blower sleeping outside his car....

Kind of a related topic. Does anyone know of a cheap campsite near Mt. Baker (around Glacier/on Mt.Baker Hwy) that you can stay at with a group (in tents). Ideally a place where campfires are allowed... Seems that the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest campsites are closed for the season.

Thanks for the help!

Red Mountain BC, even has plug-ins for RVs!
Pretty sure Whitewater is cool with it too.

KHMR at Golden was not friendly when I tried, but that was a few years back.

Whistler used to have Lot4 - do they still?

Whitewater has an area and charges $5.

Whistler still allowed overnight rigs in lot 4 last spring.

1. Try Black Mountain Boy Scout Camp; they have cabins and a group cook lodge. Cheap. Dunno if they take non-Scout groups.
2. USFS campgrounds can often be used when closed by parking outside and walking in from the entrance. Check B-S NF.
3. Try commercial CGs nearer to Bellingham; it's not that much farther.

I've parked with my vehicle and travel trailer (13') at Baker a few times. Lower lot does get "locked" at night. Just talk to the plow guys in the morning and they'll tell you what they prefer. Move your vehicle often so a large drift doesn't accumulate or you get snowed in. Upper lot is better and even heard of a dude getting power in exchange for energy drinks. Forest service sites are closed, but you might be able crash a night or two without hassle. Try the "Shandy" area in Glacier as this seems to be a good hitchhiking spot and you usually don't have to deal with snow at this elevation. See you on the hill.
