‘The Pact’ ski movie will be shown in Tacoma, Seattle, Bellingham[/size]

A telemark ski movie, “The Pact,” is coming to Puget Sound in the coming weeks. The 55-minute movie was shot last winter at locales in Oregon, Alaska, Utah, British Columbia and Japan.
The movie will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Backpacker Supply, 5206 South Tacoma Way, Tacoma. Andrea Wagner, store manager, said proceeds will benefit a local charity.
Tickets are $10 or $5 for University of Puget Sound students. They are available or online at

with a $2.50 service charge per ticket.
As part of a 30-city tour, the movie will be shown Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. at the Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen in Bellingham. Money from that event will go toward alpine safety awareness programs. On Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., the movie comes to Evo, 122 N.W. 36th St., Seattle. Proceeds from that event will go to the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center.
