As of last Saturday there were snow flurries in the air, but the ground was dry with the exception of a few small snowfields in Pelton Basin.

Doubt there is anything below Sahale glacier. Monday we hiked over the pass and down toward Stehekin to stay out of the clouds and drizzle on Sahale Arm and get into the nice warm sun.

Too late for the orriginal poster, but you will have to hike 4000 vertical feet to get to continuous snow. There are scattered patches below that which could be linked, but they are going fast. We climbed to the summit and while I wished for skis on the 900 vertical feet from below the summit to Sahale Glacier camp I would not have thought it was worth it to carry them all the way. Standing glissades are like skiing right?
