Another 1,000 ft. of icy-mogul-with-death-crust descending, and it would have been a tossup.

Holly went by me like an AMG Mercedes in the left lane of the Autobahn at the bottom of Snakedance . . .

On behalf of Outdoor Research and all the VertFest sponsors I want to thank you
for your support of VertFest. As I've said before, it is you who make the event
work - bravo and well done. I anticipate a healthy chunk of money being sent to
Friends of NWAC in the next week or so.

And as Sam mentioned at the awards ceremony, we have both left Outdoor Research for
new ventures. Sam is off to Boulder and is already deeply missed at OR. For my part, I'll still
be here in the Seattle area and have formed, with several partners, the North American subsidiary
of Exped, Exped LLC.

It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with Martin and his crew, Sam and the OR team, and the teams
at Crystal and Alpental to bring you VertFest. Thanks for being a part of it.
