ski mountaineering in Chile was created by biggiesnows
My wife and I are heading to Chile on October 16 for some ski mountaineering in the Tupungato drainage of the Maipo valley. Tupungato is 21,500 feet and there are some smaller peaks that can be climbed beforehand out of the same basecamp. After we're acclimatized we'll head over to climb and ski Aconcagua by the Polish route. Are there any people out there with great ski mountaineering skills and good spanish speaking skills that might want to go with us. We are only 2 and would like a bigger group.

When are you guys leaving? Not sure we can swing it, as we just got back from the Southern Patagonia. The place is off the scale, I scoped many great lines around Fitzroy and Bariloche areas. Its definetly on the list for a return  visit. Do you how the snow pack is doing.
