A 400 ft. snow embankment?  Well, a fall is a fall...   This is a good case for duct tape, lots of duct tape.

UPDATED: 10:06 am PDT May 27, 2008

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. -- A skier fell down a 400 foot snow embankment near Granite Falls, said Captain Kevin Prentiss of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The 51-year-old man was cross country skiing on the Lake 22 trailhead Monday when he went down the 400 foot snow embankment, said Prentiss. The victim injured his knee and could not hike out.

A basket was sent down to pick the man up, and he was airlifted to Granite Falls High School and transported to the hospital.
