recomendations for the olympics was created by fheimer
I've got 3 or 4 days and would like to set up a high camp with a reasonable approach and then explore an area somewhere in the olympics. Any ideas?

I am planning to head up that way on Saturday and staying through Monday.
I was planning to approach from Hurricane Ridge and head down into the Grand Valley. There are some great lines to be had on the way in and out. The only problem is the long approach to the summer TR. The road can be a slog.
The Olympics are such a nice change of pace from hiking in the Cascades... almost like Washington's little secret!
