Skinned up to the "inner cone" on Mt. Bachelor's Cinder Cone (this area is shut down for lift skiing now) yesterday to check out a reported slide. Yep, the n. faceing slope at he little saddle slid (a day or so prior...) and there were many "refridgerator" size pieces of debris. From my experience this area can load "locally" so I always scope this with extra scrutiny before considering a run down. Classic terrain trap at bottom as a bonus.
Outer Cone run to a ski run at 5:00pm was turning into delicious firn-mirror!
