Having guided for some time, this is always a hot topic of discussion amongst guides, it always amazes me how many people do not tip, or if they do how little. Don't get me wrong any amount is appreciated, but when you consider the amount of time guides spend in objective hazards just to satisfy a client, I don't think there is too much you can tip them (wink wink, I have never said "oh that is too much, I can't accept that"). I agree the comparison to what you would tip for a meal is spot on. And in any situation where you are being guided always remember "if you enjoyed the ride, tip your guide."
