Next week's weather? was created by wickstad
Anyone have any predictions?
It's looking pretty interesting. Especially the second big low heading for the Gulf of Alaska right now that looks wetter and deeper than what's currently off the coast.
The jet stream is forecast to split but that looks temporary? I hope.

Thanks for the link to the Paul Yeager blog, that is interesting reading. Even though most of the long-term (10-14 day) model predictions that he writes about have been wrong recently. There are several other good weather blogs at
www.accuweather.com/news-bloggers.asp
, I especially like the Mt. Washington Blog.
I'm sure the meteorologists who work at AccuWeather are fine people individually, but I'm still pissed off at that company for its unconscionable conduct (with ex-Sen. Rick Santorum) a couple of years ago, when they mounted a concerted effort to pass a bill which would end free public access to all National Weather Service forecasts and products except severe weather alerts. Truly disgusting and greedy corporate conduct. See these Wikipedia articles for more info:

That was a pretty rotten bid. Thankfully,
The bill did not garner a single co-sponsor, did not come up for a vote
