Just got back from a Selkirks trip and for the first time, had some decent food in Hope, B.C. I always feel somewhat desperate for good food between Kamloops and Bellingham.
A sushi place was recommended by a fellow lodge-mate; I was very skeptical, but it was the best food I've had in Hope. The owner had moved from Vancouver where he'd been for nineteen years, which I figure is a good sign.

I have no affiliation with the restaurant and only post here in hopes of seeing them persevere and hearing of other suggestions.
Oh, and the skiing was fantastic
