4 Roads Closed?

This is one for the history buffs: when was the last time that Hwy 542, Hwy 2, I-90 and White Pass were all closed due to avalanche danger? Just wondering...

This is one for the history buffs: when was the last time that Hwy 542, Hwy 2, I-90 and White Pass were all closed due to avalanche danger? Just wondering...

In Jan of 1996 I remember trying to get back to Roslyn from Seattle and I-90, US2, and HWY 12 were all closed for several days.  The moment White Pass opened we swiftly made the trek around.  But I do not recall the situation on SR542 during those 3 days!

This extreme situation has also affected the Canadian routes, so at times we are really cut-off.

Don't forget I-5 was closed this year as well.

We just drove to Utah via Portland and I-84.

It wasn't even to bad of a drive until we hit Ogden.
