Getting ready to mount voile hardwire tele bindings on my Salomon x-wings.... (I won them, hence why I have alpine skis to mount...)--Anybody know the "right" place to mount mount on alpine skis or these skis specifically (sp.?)? Thinking about it a lot so I only drill once... HELP

I think putting the pin-line at chord center on the ski (which should be marked) is pretty typical. That's the way I've mounted a couple of pairs, but they were generally beater skis that didn't see a lot of use, so I don't have a real feel for whether that's the best spot for them. Telemark Tips has a bunch of threads about mounting which would probably give you the info you need...

Even if Chord Center is marked you can double check it by measuring a straight line
from the tip of the ski to the tail (similar to taking the chord of an arc), divide that number by two, take that number and measure it up from the tail to get chord center line.

This is assuming the skis have a traditional tail and are not twin-tips.
