I remember Mt. Pilchuck, are there other defunct areas Western WA?

I started the Lost WA site after reading the NELSAP site in 1999 and thought it would be fun to do one on WA, figuring I'd find maybe 5 or so lost areas...... In my searching I stumbled across Lowell's website which helped me get kick-started with info in the beginning when I really didn't know how I was going to start. I eventually got tips from readers, purchased far too many informational items on ebay (my wife would like to kill me with how much some of those items cost me)... I try to find places that were designated "ski areas' with usually cleared areas, shelters, jumps etc...some with lifts and some of the early ones w/o. I'd like to eventually expand to Oregon and Idaho to cover the NW corner of the USA, but those states will depend more on others sharing info and stories.

If anyone has photo's of any of the Lost Ski areas mentioned (Pilchuck, Yodelin, Satus Pass, ect), or personal stories to contribute that would be great.

I used to ski at a old closed area outside Arcata Calf, called Horse mt. just a few rims bolted to post that would run a rope tow, pretty fun runs. I'd imagin the trees are reclaming the place by now. Snowfeild boots and tourskis kept it plenty interesting. Not bad for less than a hour off the coast. I can only imagine a world with out liability insurence. The tinkerers must have had a really good time firing up their lifts
