I've had a terrible experience with all of the new moldible liners and bought two new pairs of boots, neither of which work with my feet and so I'm using a 9 year old pair of boots that are (as you can imagaine) very packed out and tore from my years of abuse. So...I was curious, does anyone know where to get a size 9-10 old boot liner from the late 90's? Does Scarpa still sell them?

I'm curious about your troubles... for me the bakable liners are the best things since sliced bread...second only to superfeet.

A lot of it has to do with the shape of the boot and not just the liners (to be fair). The boots I have are very comfortable and rarely hurt my feet (my old ones). My brother, father and myself have the same difficulties with the newer scarpa boots (too narrow), so I think it has more to do with our feet than the liners. They seem to work great for a lot of people, just not me. They feel comfortable initially, but after 10-15 miles, I am incapacitated.

Anyhow, just my experience. With some work I could fix it I'm sure. I've heard of some heating up the plastic and pushing out the boot shell to get more room. I'm not a big guy either, 5'8'', 150lbs.

Maybe it's just part of the tele mantra, no pain no gain, eh? :)

thanks for all the replies and info. I emailed intuitionsports twice on ordering liners from them and no response. there is no info on their website to order liners. not sure what is up there. sounds like ebay is my next option. i have t2 or t3, the low cut maroon ones and they are size womens 9, so I guess look for liners new or barely used from other boots or intuition liners. I guess I better know exactly what I want and know they will fit.

thanks

I don't really want to make a plug for anyplace in paticular, but at a climbingstore in bellevue, a boot fitter from upper ny state did a really good job recooking my liners, the other folks,at the same store, who cooked them the first time only did ok and they perfomed a little better than the stock liners. Now the fit is outstanding

As a bootfitter up until recently, I know Intuitions are the only way to go. They do take some work to mold properly and a little break in. The shop on Aurora does a professional job, the owner stands behind his work.

I am a thrifty individual and never want to pay more than I have to but the whole online boot buying really chapps my ass!! Yeah you save a little money on the product but most folks get PISSED when the shop wants $30 - $80 for the molding. Any shop worth the brick they are built with should offer free or drastically reduced molding with you purchase. And they should refit or adjust their work... try getting service from xxx.com

Support your local economy and shut down the online mega-whores that have screwed up the ski industry!

The fitter is the key to the whole set up for sure, still cheaper than a filling and a lot more fun.
I like the Aroura folks thats where my shells came from
