Ski Dufur?????

Has anybody explored skiing/boarding the Barlow Ranger District near Dufur, Oregon? There appears to be road access up to a "Billy Bob Snowpark", which eventually connects to forest road 44 popular with Hood River mountain bikers and skiers/sledders. It is well known for XC, but I'm curious if there is any good downhill.

I've never made it over to Dufur, but I have spent a little time over the years mt biking off of FR 44 on the 8 Mile, 15 Mile and the Bottle Prairie trails. I've kept my eye open for skiable terrain, with easy access, but haven't seen much but I'd bet there is something there.

And if there is...good luck getting somebody to tell you about it.

There's some rentable fire lookouts in the area. Five Mile Butte Lookout and Flag Poit Lookout. I've stayed in Five Mile Butte Lookout. It was along ski in and there are some short reasonable slopes. I didn't see anything worth the effort of full telemark equipment. I did have a lot of fun on my waxless backcountry gear. I'm not sure what else is in the area. I'd guess it's more of the same.
