Does anyone know if you can use inbounds ski area terrain to hike and access the BC at the local resorts - Crystal, Stevens and Baker? Another words can I start skinning under a chair at say Crystal to access Bullion basin, or is this against resort rules? (No need to bash Crystal, this is an example...hahaha).

And is it allowable to skin up inbounds terrain to simply ascend inbounds without buying a lift ticket?

Is it a "yes, but don't get caught" situation? Any knowledge would be appreciated, thanks.

Generally if you are using the resort while in is in operation you are expected to abide by the rules.
