New Snoq Pass History Book was created by korup
I thumbed through this last night-
Snoqualmie Pass (Images of America) (Paperback)
by John Kinnick (Author), Chery Kinnick (Author) ISBN-10: 073854809X
Lots of really interesting photos, along with random history bits. My two favorites- the 1947 Olympic Ski Trials were held at Hyak (Milwaukee Ski Bowl), which had the largest ski jump in the country (!), and pictures inside a tunnel *under* Summit Central (Ski Acres)!

I beleive you're refering to the tunnel of the Iron Horse Trail, which is now a state park. It's still there. You can walk through it and take your own pictures.

I helped John and Chery with many of the photo's. His book turned out pretty good in the end, and a lot of great photo's from the Moffet family.
The Tunnel is actually under Hyak. It follows directly under the powerlines that go over the mtn.
