Randonee Boots in Alpine Bindings? was created by Scotsman
Yesterday I used my Spatulas for the first time at Crystal(great fun, point them and hang on and  try and keep even pressure on both feet)

I have Garmont Adreneline boots and was going to change the sole to the DIN sole but I had powder fever and didn't want to spend the time so I clicked in with the backcountry sole still on to try it out. It worked so off I went.

I suspect that using the backcountry sole in alpine binding has a detremental effect on the releasabilty of the toe piece and would welcome some advise.
Changing the sole involves about 11 screws in each boot but it's still a pain.
I had no pre-release issues. The binding is a Tyrolia, Cyber  Carbon D9.
Can any of you technical types comment on how much this comprimises the releasabilty?
Thanks.

Thanks Pete A. I read the thread and it was very useful. Thanks for the link.I need to remember to search TGR before asking questions first as it appears there's not a subject on skiing that hasn't been talked about on TGR.
