Telemon:
Hillbilly made a comment about the SS taking over the border and "The boots are connected to fascism, particularly Nazism..."
I can't say anymore in public without jeopardizing employment and it's not about skiing anyway.
If you can ever bring yourself across the border again, I'd be willing to meet with you at Baker and we can talk about these issues on the chair or over coffee in the lodge. Judging from your ski experience as listed on your TAY profile, I couldn't keep up in the backcountry on downhill runs.
My dictionary does not give any references to Nazism under "jackboots"; just the connotations associated with wearing heavy military boots.

Good news for all of you who were hiding your roast beef sandwiches while crossing the 49th.This week, after nearly 5 years, the U.S. border was reopened to Canadian cattle (a ban that is estimated to have cost the industry $1.7 billion in lost revenues). However, just like lumber exports, there will still be barriers to free trade, American consumers will still pay more and Canadian producers will continue to struggle to make a profit. The U.S. dollar's decline in worth has made the situation worse and is, no doubt, partly responsible for the longer waits at the border.
