several recent post have indicated skiing in very high winds. thought a review of the classic Beaufort Wind Scale might be in order. while i certainly do not doubt the validity of telemetry reports, i do suggest it is easy to over estimate wind velocity while in the mountains. i won't elborate on the details of the scale as the interested reader can look it up with ease.
