Info Sharing - Stevens Pass Skyline Ridge was created by SkiMariner

I spent the morning on snowshoes scouting out Skyline Ridge across from Stevens Pass ski area.  The upper bowls and glades are nice but lower down I had to do some double black bush whacking to gain the crest trail railroad grade.  This was tough stuff and would have been even tougher with a pair of skis on the pack.  Does anyone know if there is a line that will allow turns all the way down to the trail and avoids the couple hundred vf of bush whacking?  Hope to hear from you.

Most of it is willows in the draws and creek beds. It's that way until enough snow falls to bury them. It makes for some interesting early season routfinding crawlling through the s--t  before you get back to the JMT. I've broken through it up to my pits before and had a bad time getting out. Be carefull.

Thanks skimac. It's easy to imagine the potential injuries that could result from those crawls. I tended to start barreling through out of frustration...not the safest thing.
I found a lot more coverage than I thought I would today...another 10-12 inches should do the job up there if temps stay cool.
