Hot off the presses: the long-awaited Pacific Northwest non-guide non-book Turns All

Turns All Year CD-ROM, the definitive backcountry photo collection of the 21st century, will be

Arrrg, I can't write any more of this stuff! Let's put it this way: this project is almost completed and I'm very happy because I'm really tired of working on it. I hope that people will find it to be useful, entertaining, and/or inspiring. If not, it will still make a really cool coaster.

I've set up some online information/promotion pages for the CD-ROM:
CD-ROM home page
CD-ROM short guided tour
CD-ROM extended preview
CD-ROM purchase page (availability: soon)

The CD-ROM will be available for purchase through this web site (PayPal and personal checks) and also at finer outdoor retail stores in the Puget Sound area (still working on this so no list yet).

One of my goals with this web site has been to avoid advertising, and a lot of people have told me that they support this goal. My hope is that sales of this CD-ROM will produce sufficient income to allow the web site to remain free of advertising (other than that for the CD-ROM  ;) ). Now, instead of simply making a donation to help support the web site, you can purchase a copy of the CD-ROM and, essentially, receive a reward for your donation.

Speaking of donations, I would like to give everyone who has made a donation to the web site in the past a complementary copy of the CD-ROM. I've been too busy to determine how many contributor addresses I already have and how many I will need to track down, so this won't happen immediately, but it will happen.

Although I am responsible for the way the CD-ROM has turned out, and any strengths and weakness it may have, this CD-ROM project could not have happened without the contributions of many other people. A listing of all of these contributors can be found here . Whether large or small, each person's contribution was important and very much appreciated. I would like to specifically thank Kaylea T. for help with graphics (cover and disc face art) and Larry Robinson for his help in so many ways at the end of this project (notice to Larry: you're not off the hook yet!).

Looks good charles. I can tell you put a lot of effort into it. Great work, and I am sure many skiers and boarders will find it helpful.

Thanks Charles, you have obviously put a tremendous amount of energy into this project. The demo is really cool and well laid out. The product looks great and I am anxious to get a hold of it. I expect that it will be a great tool for me in planning trips in areas that I am unfamiliar with. (second only to TAY)

Hey Charles,
This is awesome. I was just thinking about this the other day and wondering when my royalty checks would start rolling in.

Thanks for putting this together and I'd be glad to pick one, never can have enough coasters around the house.

But really, thanks.

Charles,
I acknowledge you Herculean effort in putting this CD together.  I want one.
And as a prior contributor I, for one, do not want to be "comped" one.
My check is in the mail.
Ron
