North Cascades Highway Ski Conditions? was created by kuharicm
Anyone been over Highway 20 lately know how much snow there might be up around those parts? Seems like there might be a skiable base above 6000 feet...
Would love to hear some guesses.

No snow at Rainy Pass itself as of last weekend (Oct. 13-14), however, there was about 1-to-2 feet of consolidated, continous snow cover around Cutthroat Pass, above ~6,000-ft (topped off with glistening surface hoar). I was kicking myself for not bringing skis at first, but soon discovered LOTS of shallow boulders hiding just below the snow surface. Would have been skiable, but also likely would've hit a lot of rocks...perhaps the coverage is improving with this current storm?...
