360 degree panorama website now up

I think it's time to announce my virtual reality 360 degree panorama site, mostly because I'm tired of working on it. Thanks so much to Sir Charles for help with proofing. There are VR panoramas from 32 summits so far in high resolution QTVR format. You can zoom in about 5 times and still have a fairly sharp image at least with the more recent pans. The resolution at this point is roughly that of the naked eye.

The snowpack model is also now on this site and I've also added another section where I'll post some of my more weird stuff from time to time. I suppose I need to add a legal disclaimer to this section.   

For lack of a better name, the site is Larry's Cascade Resource .

Most of the features should work, however the twice daily snowpack model charts may not be visible in browsers other than Internet Explorer. Rest assured, I'm working on it day and night. A few other tune-ups are needed too.

If something does not work, let me know and I'll see if I can fix it.

The panoramas are really stunning. This is amazing. It makes you want to get up from the computer and go right to that spot where the panorama was taken, right now.

The plug-in viewer installed in a few seconds (Windows XP SP2) and has worked flawlessly on the several I ran.

Will you please add more winter ones? And - any plans to add anything around Baker?

Thanks so much Travertine. I try to get winter pans whenever I can but more stars have to come into alignment. The visability has to be good all the way around, it has to be calm enough so the camera is steady, and I have to get to actually the summit. It's the latter that for some strange reason gets harder each year. But I'll keep on trying. No immediate plans to do anything in the Baker area, but who knows?
