For the desk jockeys stuck in pointless meetings

I participate in this meeting...
Surrounded by sounds people make...
Thinking is this it, is this my fate?

As these words bleed from my pen...
Thoughts unravel in my head...
Twisted or not, they may seem, expression is freedom someone once said.

As I sit around this table...
Sounds flowing through the air...
A disturbance of sorts, like storms shitting snow, I sit and stare.

Day dreaming about the mountains...
When will enough snow be there...
Soon slut soon, the uncertainty, at times can be so hard to bear.

Now back to the meeting...
Around this table I sit...
Writing this poem, watching the slides, multitasking is a bitch.

“Fuckin’ Box”

My room a box
my house a box
my world a box

I look out my window
at a blue house next to a pink one
I drive to work through cities of them
big ones and small ones

I work in a box
staring at a box
never thinking outside the box
a man who will one day die
only to be buried (what do you know?)
In a fuckin’ box....

Early Retirement

There I lay, scattered across the carpet, dead.
My coffee cup had spilt onto my papers;
Someone would have to reprint them.
The last words I said before I collapsed were,
“Anna, when is this weeks meeting with John Dallenger from Dal Investments?”
Now that I am dead, I really wish I took that vacation in March to South America.
As a matter of a fact, I wish I would’ve super-sized my Mickey D’s order during lunch.
Shit, I died hungry.
I wonder how long it will be before someone notices me?
I bet Bob Jurence will take my place;
he’s wanted my position for years!
Bob will do well, and anyhow he is in much better shape than I am.
He might even make retirement unless he adds onto his house.
In that case, he may have to put in a few more years
depending on interest rates and how well his stock portfolio does.

Climberdave, we all need to get out more my friend. However I've seen the TR's from Jason and snoslut over the past year and I don't feel too bad for them.
