skin glue on base

I have been having minor issues with skin glue sticking to my ski bases lately. I usually hot wax every month or so, and have increased to every 3-4 trips but I still have been getting glue on the bases. Since it has been a small amount, I can scrape it off fairly easily.

Any suggestions for prevention?

Be careful how long they are exposed to the sun, that is when I notice small dots of skin glue attaching to the base. Take the skins off and fold them and hang them in the sun on a branch or ski pole wrist loop. I have had my share of ski scraping by letting the skin dry on the ski in a pile of hot, sunbaked rocks.
