BC Huts

Has anyone been to Valhalla Mountain Lodge? (as opposed to the other confusingly named Valhalla hut)

I have heard it has some of the best skiing around - best meaning challenging and interesting terrain. Any opinions?

I haven't been to the Valhalla Mountain Lodge, but the Valhalla Hut has the best terrain I've seen. There is a pretty decent list of huts on this webpage---a bit dated, but still does a good job of showing what it out there.

One thing to check into when booking a hut trip is whether or not the hut shares rights with heli-ski outfits. Certain huts (e.g., Sorcerer) don't have exclusive rights to their territory. It would suck to get repeatedly poached by choppers.

Powder Creek Lodge is pretty nice. This is a view over the sauna building roof....

That is a nice picture... however, we are signed up for a week in Valhalla.
