NPR Radio Stars was created by Scotsman
My wife called me at work today all excited saying ,"mad_dog's on the radio!". :There was an NPR item about TAY and the slush cup and according to her, they interviewed Jeanette and Charles and one other skier.
Jeanette, I knew you'd be famous one day if you ditched that old rebel you hang with!
Congratulations, the wife said it was a nice piece. I wonder how one can get a transcript?

How about a recording?

Backcountry Skiers Pursue Turns All Year
Tom Banse
SEATTLE, WA (2007-08-03) When it's 80 degrees and sunny, skiing is probably the last thing you're thinking of. But some Northwesterners just can't get snow off the brain. Among them are some die-hards who tally impressive streaks of year-round skiing without leaving the Northwest. KPLU's Tom Banse grabbed his ski poles to meet the people who carve turns all year round.

Yeah, when we jumped into the car this morning on our way to camp, the radio came on first thing and the kids started shreiking, "MOM's on the radio! Mom's on the radio!" They had heard the broadcast last Friday when it first aired and recognized my screaming entrance into Pinnacle pond right away . . . Ah, it's great to be a hero in their eyes.
Once again: Great interviews Jeanette, Charles and Danny.

! If it wasn't for that "old rebel" we wouldn't have be slushcupping and having other fun venues.
Thank-you to Tom Banse for taking the initiative to think the slush cup was worth talking about, and bringing it to life on the radio. Tom actually did a perfect glissade down the hill, with a little more speed, he could have probably made his own journey across the pond

We needed you Ally; it was overcast much of the day and that smile of yours would have burned it off in no time
