Aug 4 "Reasonable" Turns? was created by NMaddox
Hey,
Just got back from summer school and looking to do a trip next weekend. I'm debating whether Muir would be the best bet for turns/hiking ratio. Maybe since Artist point opened up that would be better?
Baker eluded me this summer and the CD route (the normal route where I'm from) seems shot for skiing (at least from bata posted).
I'm up for anything between Hood and Baker, as long as there is snow and no lifts.
If anyone has bata that would be of any use, please!
Thanks again, this site keeps me and so many others optimistic about life when skiing is not possible.

We skied out Ptarmigan Ridge on Saturday. Coverage was pretty good and surface conditions were OK to good. Well worth the trip.
I haven't been to Paradise for a couple of weeks, but I think it's getting scarce there. Nisqually chute is gone, and it's a pretty long walk up to get to snow.
You'll probably find a better ratio of skiing to walking at Artist Point/Ptarmigan Ridge.
