I have a 6yo daughter who is out there skiing all the time. In fact she is going for her first full year this year. 8 months so far. In the "off" season we just tend to hike up the hills and ski as I have not been able to find the proper backcountry solution for her. She hikes in normal hiking boots and then swaps.
On a separate note she has been in full time lessons all regular season at the pass (Snoqualmie pass), specifically in Powder Pigs (
