Joy Meter...How does your trip rate?

Joy Meter...How does your trip rate? was created by pin!head
I remember much talk about a %percentage of turns to hiking?...fun/work/smile meter?.  Could someone refresh my memmory so I can acccurately gage this sunday's daytrip into 'Mt.Secret Peak'.

Ps. Skied Tam McCarther Rim last weekend and was able to ski back to the concession's cold ones' ;D...how does somethin like that fit into the formula?

You're thinking of the Joy-O-Meter -- vertical skied/vertical climbed as a percentage. JOM for our trip to Ruth this weekend, for example, was 2,200/4,600, 47.8%...

Make sure you use the correct pronunciation. Though I defer to Kam as final authority, I've always pronounced it
Juh-YAW-mihter
and not
JOY-o-meter

Although if I think back to what I learned in school, the first pronunciation might be for an instrument used to measure joy, while the second is the actual measurement of joy.
