For Daredevil Skiing, the Season Is Now (NYTimes)

Back in my old New England, Tuckerman Ravine is featured in a May 25th New York Times article as "one of the oldest, best-known and most difficult backcountry skiing spots in North America." T'was my first place I earned my turns.

My dad used to ski that in the late 1940s and early 50s. In his leather lace up ski boots and long wooden skis. He talks fondly of it.
