May 23, 2007, Silver peak road access, not yet

I drove the road from hyak toward silver peak today. Hit snow just after the road turns up the creek, right next to the twin lakes trailhead 2 miles sign...I guess that's about 2 miles from the twin lakes trailhead. 

Anyway the snow was about 18 inches thick. Looked like some 4 wheelers had tried and failed when the snow was soft.
