road condition to st. helens

Hi- I am planning to drive to st. helens end of this week to ski and am concerned about the road to the trail head. I have a honda civic with low clearance and not sure if the road is to bad for my car. any info helpful. thanks

If you're talking about the upper trailhead, the "Climbers Bivouac"... I just called the ranger a few days ago and she said it won't be open till early June. I asked if one can drive up as far as possible on that one road, and she said no, it's usually gated where it meets the main road if the TH isn't open.

Driving by yesterday the road to Climbers Bivouac was not gated, although it was posted closed to wheeled vehicles still. I heard from a fellow climber that it is blocked by snow 3 mi. from CB but that it is patchy.
