The OTHER ski season was created by Telemon
I think that many turns all year enthusiasts post or at least lurk over at Telemarktips.com.However, for those who don't, I recently posted there on a subject that I know is near and dear to most of the members of this site. It attempts to illustrate with photos why we do not stop skiing when the chair lifts stop running. I screwed up my presentation somewhat, but if you are patient you can see my selection of pictures. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did experiencing them first hand.

What are chairlifts? And why are they running?

I am well aware of the fact that Turns-all-year caters primarily to the back country skier. I read the bc trip reports for information and enjoyment, and even post my own adventures from time to time. However, I will never apologize for using chair lifts during the traditional ski season. I live to make turns on my tele skis. My geriatric legs may allow for 3 or 4,000' of vertical; high-speed lifts give me the opportunity to multiple that fun by a factor of tenfold.
BTW I assume that you have a running refrigerator, Lahar Dar. I'll make sure to catch it if it makes it to my neighbourhood. I will also let Prince Albert out of the can at the same time. Well, it was funny when I heard it the first time.....50 years ago.

Nice post (the TT one in particular!!) Telemon. It's almost inspiring me to break through those last couple of dry months for once...
And a great example of a post that really benefits from more than three photos (sorry, Charles
