Subject: WTB: Boots, Bindings, Skis, Poles, for demos
We live in an area with a lot of telemarkers but ZERO telemark rental shops. I don't know how many times people have come up to me on the slopes, asking about telemark and wanting to give it a try, etc etc. but they just don't have easy access to gear.
I want to start offering Tele demo days, where folks can sign up for a 1-hour telemark discovery deal, and I'll just equip 'em with some essentials and we'll do a few laps at the resort. (This is part of a larger, more sinister "master plan" of creating an entire tele program at the local hill.)
There is no financial support for this, so I will be buying all the gear myself.
To that end, I'm looking for: used plastic boots in any size (doesn't matter how they look as long as they are functional), telemark bindings, and shaped skis (alpine, tele, whatever). Poles too, if you have them.
I am not the girl to sell stuff to if you want to make a profit. I'm the girl to sell stuff to if you want to weed out your quiver or do some karmic credit score maintenance. Kids stuff is great too. I can repair "most" stuff, so damaged goods don't scare me. Show me what you have!
