NWAC website? was created by pdr88s
I have not been able to access the NWAC wesite for a couple days. Is that universal or just my internet access?

I'm able to access the avalanche forecast here:
www.nwac.us/products/SABSEA
Another user on the board created an archive site that will be useful when future outages occur:
dpdt.dyndns.org/nwac/nwac.html

Seems like they moved the site last week. I used to access it at nwac.noaa.gov. Now its nwac.us.

I think they just discontinued the use of the nwac.noaa.gov domain. Nwac.us has been what I'ved used for at least the last year and a half.Seems like they moved the site last week. I used to access it at nwac.noaa.gov. Now its nwac.us.

Greetings all--Yes indeed, the NWAC web site is now alive and well at nwac.us, which has been its real home for the past 2+ years. I am sorry for both the outages experienced recently and the now lack of a valid redirect. Prior to a problem with our past ISP ArosNet about a week ago, anyone entering nwac.noaa.gov was automatically redirected to nwac.us, our current and permanent address. But when we had to change ISP's this link (which may have been hard coded somewhere to the IP of the old server) no longer works. We are painfully aware of the problem, and will try to get a redirect or static page up that informs folks of the address change. However, I would also urge anyone who uses the web site to make a note of the "new" and permanent web address. Please enter
nwac.us
in your browser, or you can enter the whole
www.nwac.us
. Once again, sorry for the recent outages, and we are doing all we can to ensure that it does not happen again.
Cheers, Mark Moore, NWAC
